Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operations to be available On-Premise without Azure Stack

What a big week for Microsoft Dynamics! Following the official revealing of Dynamics 365 earlier this week at Summit 2016, Microsoft made another exciting announcement. We already know that Microsoft Dynamics AX 7 on Azure will officially become Dynamics 365 for Operations when the new solution launches next month. Adding to that announcement, Microsoft revealed new plans to support Dynamics 365 for Operations both on Azure and with new on-premise options that will not require the Azure Stack.

These hybrid options will give businesses much greater flexibility with their deployment and potential requirements around data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and existing IT infrastructure investments. While pure cloud deployment is widely regarded as the preferred option – as it ensures maximum access to product updates and optimal integration – Microsoft stated that Lifecycle Services (LCS) will continue to support on-premise and hybrid scenarios based on any server design.
